First phase of CEMM 3.0 rollout has begun

The rollout of CEMM 3.0 began in December 2023. CEMM 3.0 is the successor to CEMM basic and CEMM plus, but is based on the same hardware, allowing existing users to upgrade their CEMMs. This post will update you on the rollout of CEMM 3.0, new features, and the upgrade process from an older CEMM.
The road to CEMM 3.0
CEMM basic and plus have been on the market since 2014, and much has changed since then. We've supported both devices for a long time with software updates, which has resulted in many new features being added over the years. These include support for more meter types, the app, remote access, exports, notifications, and much more.
We've now reached a point where supporting the old software is unfortunately no longer possible. Therefore, we've decided to build completely new CEMM software, incorporating all the knowledge we've gained over the years. Because the hardware hasn't changed, existing users—even those who've had a CEMM since 2014—can upgrade to CEMM 3.0.
New possibilities
These are the main features of CEMM 3.0, including changes compared to CEMM basic and plus:
- Fully scalable interface with a fresh new design that adapts to any screen size. All features are accessible on any device.
- The dashboard can be customized to your liking with the many available widgets.
- Light and dark mode are now available, for a more pleasant experience in low light.
- The interface works significantly faster, there is no longer a need to wait for data to load.
- Additional functionality can be added using software modules. If you decide you want to use Modbus kWh meters after all, you no longer need a 'plus' model of the CEMM; you can simply purchase the Modbus module.
- Graph pages contain significantly more statistics, such as daily, monthly, and annual totals, consumption or production of the visible part of the graph, and average values.
- The smart meter is now split into consumption and return (instead of just a combined balance). It's also possible to split it into high and low rates.
- It's now possible to personalize both your CEMM(s) and the connected meters with custom icons, colors, and names. This is ideal for installers who manage multiple CEMMs.
- Extensive access control, with the ability to restrict or exclude both local and external users.
- And much more…

Upgrade from a CEMM basic or plus
Existing CEMM users can request an upgrade to CEMM 3.0. The upgrade includes the following:
- We back up your energy data and convert it to the new CEMM 3.0 database format.
- We replace the storage memory of your CEMM so that it is as good as new again.
- We install the CEMM 3.0 software and restore the converted energy data. If you have a CEMM Plus, the Modbus module will be activated immediately.
- Your CEMM will be provided with the new sticker.
The upgrade costs €90.00 including VAT. If you purchased your CEMM after January 1, 2023, the upgrade costs €60.00, and the storage will not be replaced.
